Almost 80

Throughout my life, from a young man to an old fart, there have been many times that I gained insight and knowledge from conversations with a variety of people.

Often those folks that were older than me.

As I crossed the 80 year mark it became clear that I am now the old guy and so PERHAPS some people may gain something from things I share from my life.

That was the impetus behind creating ALMOST 80.

I Am Just The Paper

All my life I’ve written poetry but never gone public.  I lost all the material things in my life in 1979 when my house burned down but I kept writing poetry for myself.  About a decade ago I found that I could actually share my work and did so with the Grayback Salon, a small group of Applegate poets and appreciators who all read poetry together.  Then a few years later, I realized I could go public with my poetry and put together a collection of 148 poems. Here it is!
